Introducing...The Color Purple by Alice Walker

Introducing Thursday introduces you to a book through the first paragraph. This week's introduction comes from The Color Purple by Alice Walker:

Dear God,
I am fourteen years old. I am I have always been a good girl. Maybe you can give me a sign letting me know what is happening to me.






Oh...and "yes", I am loving this book!

    I read this a long time ago, and tried to re-read it last year but couldn't - I was so sad and angry so fast! I must have been more emotionally resilient when I was younger! But it's a wonderful book!
