CHALLENGE: RYOB Challenge 2010

OK. I'm joining this challenge, because I NEED to join it. I have so many books sitting on my shelves waiting to be read!

The RYOB (Read Your Own Books) 2010 Challenge is hosted by Reader Challenges.

The rules are simple:
  • Pick a number of books you’d like to read in one year
  • Choose those books from your OWN collection
  • Read them between January 1, 2010 and December 31, 2010

Some other guidelines for this challenge:

  • Re-Reads are NOT allowed (the challenge is to get more of your own books read that have been sitting there waiting!)
  • Audiobooks & e-books ARE allowed
  • You do NOT need a blog to participate — you can leave comments on this post with your progress
Stay tuned! On January 1st, MizB will add a Mr.Linky here for participants to sign up.

I'm shooting for 40 books from my shelves. This is what I've got on my list so far:
  • Brutal Telling
  • Catching Fire
  • Cousin Kate
  • Darkest Evening of the Year
  • Dead Sea
  • The Giver
  • Godmother
  • The Hate List
  • Hunter
  • The Last Queen
  • Maximum Ride: School's Out
  • The Measure of a Lady
  • Obama's Blackberry
  • The Road
  • Shiver
  • Snow Flower and the Secret Fan
  • A Thousand Splendid Suns
  • The Triumph of Deborah
  • Twilight

Good idea! I have at least ten year's worth of reading on my TBR shelves!
