24-Hour Read-a-Thon

I just wanted to mention that I am indeed joining in on the 24-Hour Read-a-Thon this weekend. I did my first read-a-thon in the Spring. I spent way too much time blogging and doing challenges last time, so I wound up only spending about 6-8 hours reading, even though I was up for about 20-22 hours.

So this year I hope to read at least 12-15 hours. I don't know what I'll be reading, but I have a pool of books to choose from. I am almost done with The Heretic Queen, and have a couple hundred pages left in The Postmistress. So I'm sure I'll be reading them, but here is my book pool to choose from, depending on my mood:
  • The Heretic Queen by Michelle Moran
  • The Postmistress by Sarah Blake
  • City of the Dead by Brian Keene
  • Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
  • The Road by Cormac McCarthy
  • Confessions of an Ivy League Pornographer by Sam Benjamin
  • Darkest Evening of the Year by Dean Koontz
So bring on the fun!

A blogger who hasn't read the Hunger Games yet. Pretty soon they won't exist.

I did the same thing last time, too -- spent too much time on the computer. I'm hoping to distance myself from the computer this time, which shouldn't be too hard since I'll be reading over a friend's house. I hope you get to The Heretic Queen. It was a quick read for me, and a I absolutely loved it. Have fun!

Hunger Games is on my list, too. It'll probably be what I pick up next, though who knows what I'll feel like after I wake up. The Road will be good Read-a-thon reading, but I must admit, I didn't like it very much!

Happy Read-a-thoning!
